Voice

A professional radio actor since the age of twelve Gareth has made hundreds of broadcasts for the BBC in plays, features and poetry programmes. He has played three running characters in the world’s longest running radio soap opera, The Archers, and has been an occasional contributor to From Our Own Correspondent.  He was a recipient of the Jewish Cultural Media Award for his work on the radio documentary, The Blood Libel, produced by Hugh Levinson.

Each year Gareth records around twenty audio books ranging from thrillers to biographies. He recorded the  sequence of twelve Arthur Ransome’s  Swallows and Amazons novels for children, the cult trilogy The Duncton Chronicles by David Horwood and has recently finished recording all on all seventy-five of the Maigret novels of Georges Simenon. For Black Library, the audio branch of Warhammer, he regularly records sci-fi epics and audio dramas. Gareth also features in video games and animations . He is a regular guest artist in Big Finish audio productions. He was also the voice of Sandy in BBC 2’s famous dubbed version of the Monkey series.

For the online Complete Works of Shakespeare published by Norton in America in 2015 Gareth directed the audio excerpts as well as featuring in major roles.
